125 Times Uncompromising Power – The ABT RSQ8 Legacy Edition
The new ABT RSQ8 Legacy Edition (RSQ8-LE) is nothing less than an impressive homage to an SUV legend, powered by a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine. Combining extraordinary design, high-performance technology, and unmatched versatility, this new super SUV from ABT takes its rightful place in the Legacy Edition lineup. It is positioned not only between the RS6-LE, introduced in May 2023, and the RS7-LE, available since July 2023, but also among ABT’s high-performance SUVs, such as the RSQ8-S, RSQ8-R, and RSQ8 Signature Edition. Those who are familiar with the ABT Legacy Editions will recognize the RSQ8-LE at first glance – a seamless adaptation of the unique Legacy Edition design language that reflects the brand’s identity while embodying its own distinct character.
For the first time, the Allgäu-based tuning company is presenting a vehicle as part of a pre-launch. This means that the vehicle shown is a design simulation, though largely corresponding to the final product. Also new: The first live presentation of the RSQ8-LE will take place on March 20, 2025, during the exclusive premiere event “Friends of ABT.”
Based on the most powerful series-production combustion Audi of all time, the RSQ8 Performance provides a formidable foundation for ABT refined special model. Equipped with the ABT Power R performance upgrade, the RSQ8-LE delivers 760 HP and 980 Nm of torque, propelling the almost 2.4-ton vehicle forward with unstoppable force. The ABT stainless steel exhaust system, including ABT quad tailpipes with Ø 105 mm, provides the appropriate acoustic backdrop.
The dynamic combination of the ABT Level Control (ALC) electronic air suspension, the continuously variable adaptive damping system and the ABT-adapted electronic roll stabilisation system (eAWS) developed in direct cooperation with the manufacturer ensures uncompromising performance in every driving situation. This sophisticated suspension system provides the RSQ8-LE with maximum driving stability, agility, and athletic performance typically found only in sports cars. In corners and during load changes, the suspension system impresses with enhanced lateral dynamics while reducing body roll, giving the RSQ8-LE razor-sharp handling and superior driving comfort.
Striking components of the ABT aerodynamic kit, all in matte visible carbon fiber, dominate the exterior appearance. Particularly characteristic are the Legacy Edition-typical bonnet inserts, which also provide engine bay ventilation. A front lip with RSQ8-LE lettering, mirror caps, and fender extensions further accentuate the vehicle’s commanding front presence. Front skirt add-ons including air intake grilles not only emphasize the sporty, massive profile but also ensure improved cooling through optimized airflow.
The vehicle’s sides and rear feature carbon fiber elements including door strip attachments, rear skirt insert with RSQ8-LE emblem badge, rear skirt attachments, and a rear wing including ABT Aeroblades. The wheelhouse ventilation “1 of 125” emblem badge is finished in glossy black. The exterior is completed by weight-optimized 23-inch Legacy Edition flowforming wheels in Glossy Black with 295/35 R23 tires and TPMS.
The interior showcases numerous precisely crafted carbon fiber elements, including shift paddles, dashboard trim, gear knob, and seat frame covers. The sports steering wheel is wrapped in Alcantara, featuring the ABT logo in the steering wheel spoke. Additional brand identity markers include logo placements, model lettering, and limited-edition emblems on the seats, floor mats, precisely fitted trunk mat, and entry sills. This iconic powerhouse comes to life at the touch of the ABT start-stop switch cap.
The RSQ8-LE package is priced at €95,900.00 (including VAT, excluding installation and TÜV approval).
