RHODES VS LESNAR, OWENS & ZAYN CONTRO LA BLOODLINE
TUTTA LA CARD DI BACKLASH 2023
4 maggio 2023 – Il primo passo oltre WrestleMania 39: nella notte italiana fra sabato 6 e domenica 7 maggio arriva Backlash, il Premium Live Event che apre la nuova stagione in casa WWE. Direttamente dal Coliseo de Puerto Rico di San Juan e con una card piena di grandi match, Backlash si preannuncia un evento imperdibile, che arriva subito dopo il WWE Draft, che ha rimescolato le carte a Raw e SmackDown. E’ stato reintrodotto il World Heavyweight Championship, che sarà esclusiva dello show rosso e verrà assegnato il 27 maggio a Night of Champions, prossimo Premium Live Event. Ecco la card di Backlash.
Bad Bunny vs Damien Priest – San Juan Street Fight: la stella e l’idolo di casa, già presente a WrestleMania, affronta il suo vecchio compagno di tag team, oggi membro del Judgment Day. Il rapper, beniamino assoluto del popolo portoricano e presentatore speciale di Backlash, vuole dare una severa lezione a Priest, che potrebbe sfruttare le interferenze di Balor e Mysterio, suoi compagni nel Judgment Day.
Cody Rhodes vs Brock Lesnar – Single Match: dopo la sconfitta a WrestleMania contro Roman Reigns, Rhodes ha trovato un nuovo nemico. The Beast, nella notte di Raw successiva allo Showcase of the Immortals, ha attaccato duramente The American Nightmare. E’ indubbiamente questo il match più atteso della serata.
Rhea Ripley vs Zelina Vega – WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship: è la prima difesa titolata per la vincitrice del titolo a WrestleMania 39. L’australiana, capace di avere successo alla Royal Rumble e di battere Charlotte Flair a WrestleMania, sfida uno dei membri del Latino World Order. Per Zelina sarebbe un’impresa titanica riuscire a sconfiggere Ripley.
Matt Riddle, Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn vs The Bloodline: probabilmente l’ultimo scontro fra le due fazioni, con i primi 3 che sono stati draftati a Raw e i “seguaci” di Roman Reigns che sono andati con lui a SmackDown. Dopo la conquista degli Undisputed Tag Team Titles a WrestleMania, Owens e Zayn vogliono mettere il punto esclamativo su questa rivalità.
